The first impression one has of a practice or a
business often comes from the front desk receptionist. Thus, having
adequately-trained receptionists in a business establishment cannot be
overemphasized. These persons are responsible for creating a favorable first
impression. If you have a newly hired receptionist, training should include a receptionist
greeting script to observe a certain degree of uniformity and consistency
when greeting guests in person or over the phone. This is a very big step
towards ensuring that guests have a positive and pleasant experience when
calling or visiting your company.
Since the front desk is often the first point of
contact for any person with a query or concern, it would also help if there is
a script that is used to answer questions that are frequently asked.
